Fire Warden Training

Fire Warden training course raises awareness of the dangers associated with fire. This course will help you use practical steps to minimise and control the risks that fire presents.

According to the Fire Protection Association, 77% of businesses that experience a major fire never fully recover. Training your staff in fire safety will help protect your business and your staff.

The course covers:

  • Basic principles and classification of fire

  • Common causes and consequences of fires in the workplace

  • Legislation

  • How fires can be prevented

  • Types and uses of fire extinguishers

  • Risk assessment and fire safety arrangements

  • Key roles and responsibilities of the Fire Warden

  • Emergency Evacuation Procedure

Manual Handling

Manual handling injuries are one of the most common causes of injury at work, and account for nearly one third of all reported accidents. This course is designed to train and give awareness to meet the requirements of relevant legislation and regulations of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.

If manual handling is not carried out properly it can have significant consequences on your health, particularly if you carry out manual handling operations regularly.

The course covers;

  • Understanding of the importance of safe manual handling

  • Understand the risks and health effects associated with manual handling operations

  • Have knowledge of safe manual handling techniques

  • Have knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
